Thinking of moving to Europe but worried about the cost? Don’t sweat it! There are actually some awesome countries where you can live it up without breaking the bank.
Check out this video by The Wealthy Expat (cool name, right?) on YouTube. They give the rundown on a few sweet spots with low taxes and amazing weather.
First up: Italy! This isn’t just the land of delicious pizza (although that is a major perk!). You can actually snag residency pretty easily, and they even have a special program where you only pay a fixed amount of taxes each year – 100,000 euros to be exact (which is like $111,000). Plus, the weather is fantastic! Northern cities like Milan are a bit cooler, while down south you’ve got islands like Sicily and Sardinia for some beach bumming. The blogger even says Italy beats out Portugal for fancy living.
Next on the list: Spain! This gorgeous country is famous for its beaches and mountains, and according to The Wealthy Expat, it should be at the top of your list. They have a visa program called the Golden Visa that makes it easy for foreigners to move there. Once you’ve got that, you can qualify for something called the “Beckham Law” (named after the soccer player David Beckham, no less!). This basically means you don’t have to pay taxes on income you earn outside of Spain – pretty sweet deal, huh? On top of that, Spain has beautiful cities, a rich culture, and of course, amazing weather.
