Bali is brimming with picturesque spots perfect for enhancing your social media presence. Among the most famous and frequently shared locations is the iconic Handara Gate. The vibrant and diverse images taken here frequently go viral online.
Situated on Jln. Raya Singaraja-Denpasar, within the Pancasari area of Sukasada District in Buleleng Regency, Handara Gate is about a four-hour drive from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.
On Friday, 9 August 2024, the gate was bustling with tourists, both local and international. In fact, foreign visitors were more prevalent, eagerly lining up to take their turn for a picture.
Visitors from various countries, including China, India, the Middle East, Korea, and Japan, can often be seen at this site.
If you’re planning to take photos at this spot, be aware that there is a small fee: Rp 30,000 for Indonesian tourists and Rp 50,000 for international visitors. The gate is managed in collaboration with the local village, with the resort solely responsible for ticket sales. Proceeds from parking and tips go directly to the village. Known by many as the ‘Gate to Heaven,’ this gate is a replica of another famous gate located in Karangasem. While there are no official opening hours, visitors are welcome from dawn until dusk.
