Imagine going on a trip only to end up locked inside a mattress store! Well, that’s what happened to a bunch of tourists who got fed up with their travel agency’s shenanigans.

As reported by VN Express on Sunday (14/4), this group of travelers had set out for a fun time in Yunnan Province, China. But things took a bizarre turn when a video of them stuck in a mattress store went viral on Chinese social media.

It all started with them booking a tour through Liaoning Youde International Travel Service. They each coughed up 3,979 Yuan for the trip.

But here’s the kicker: instead of the adventure they signed up for, all they got was endless shopping trips. Talk about a major letdown!

Frustrated with the situation, they decided to put their foot down and refused to buy anything from the shops they were dragged into. This didn’t sit well with their tour guide, who flipped out, but the tourists weren’t having any of it and clung to their wallets.

Eventually, the tour guide and the owner of a mattress store hatched a plan. They lured the tourists into the store and then locked them in. Talk about a sneaky move!

For hours, these poor folks were stuck inside, some screaming for help while others just lounged around on the mattresses.

Chinese authorities weren’t too pleased when they caught wind of the situation. They launched an investigation and slapped everyone involved with a hefty fine of 10,000 Yuan each. Ouch!

This whole mess got Chinese netizens fired up. Turns out, this kind of thing has happened before – tourists being strong-armed into buying stuff they don’t want at outrageous prices.
