If you love long walks, you might want to check out one of the world’s longest covered pedestrian walkways in Singapore. Be prepared, though—it’ll take you 58 minutes to walk from one end to the other!

According to Mothership on Sunday (July 7, 2024), Singapore’s unpredictable weather can make walking a bit of a challenge. Will it be scorching hot and sweaty, or will you get caught in a downpour?

A TikTok user named zenosjake highlighted this in a time-lapse video posted on June 8.

The Route

In the video, he takes a winding route that passes through four different MRT stations and 16 other commercial and residential buildings.

It took him 58 minutes and 5,041 steps to walk from UOB Plaza to International Plaza.

He mentioned that he could extend his route by walking straight at International Plaza instead of turning right, which would take him to Springleaf Tower.

Of course, if he had taken a more direct, unguided route to his destination, the journey could have been shortened to about 18 minutes.

Where’s the fun if only takes two minutes by train from MRT Raffles Place to MRT Tanjong Pagar.

The man, who describes himself as an entrepreneur living in Singapore, is no stranger to urban walks among the city’s concrete jungle.

Responding to a comment, he mentioned that he frequently strolls around the CBD.

In November 2023, he posted another TikTok video showing the longest air-conditioned walk from Millenia Walk to Funan, making the most of the cool breeze from the AC units.
