The Bali International Air Show 2024 is gearing up to be a major magnet for tourists, pulling in thousands of visitors each day.
Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, shared his excitement during a coordination meeting with Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, discussing the preparations for the big event. He emphasized that the Bali International Air Show 2024 is set to be a massive draw, especially for aviation enthusiasts.
“This is a high-quality tourism event because the visitors will stay longer and spend more,” said Minister Sandiaga at the Renaissance Hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Tuesday (3/9/2024).
Sandiaga is optimistic that the event, making its grand return after 20 years, will attract 3,000 visitors during the trade days (18-20 September 2024) and another 2,500 when it opens to the public on September 21, 2024.
“We’re expecting up to 3,000 visits on the public day. This is going to be a major attraction that we need to prepare for,” he added.
The Minister also assured that his ministry is all in on supporting the event to make it widely known and to boost both international and domestic tourism.
“We’re also planning to roll out special tourism packages in collaboration with the industry to make the most of this opportunity,” Sandiaga mentioned.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, chimed in, stating that preparations for the Bali International Air Show 2024, set to kick off on September 18, 2024, are about 80% complete. He praised the efforts of everyone involved, from the Governor and local government to the Indonesian Air Force, Army, police, and immigration.
“And then there’s the airshow itself, featuring the F-35, which is definitely a crowd-puller. It’s a unique spectacle,” Luhut commented.
The Bali International Air Show 2024 promises to be an exciting and prestigious international event, featuring not only the airshow but also international forums, a B2B exhibition, business matching, and social programs at various venues.
“It’s also a great opportunity for PT. Dirgantara Indonesia to promote and sell more of their locally-made products,” Sandiaga highlighted.
The Bali International Air Show 2024 will take place at the South Apron of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport from September 18 to 21, 2024.
