Four-Year Cruise: Escape Trump’s Presidency in Style

Ever thought about sailing away to escape political drama? Well, a Florida-based cruise line has made that dream come true with a wild offer—a four-year cruise designed for Americans looking to avoid the leadership of Donald Trump.

What’s the Deal?

The company, Villa Vie Residences, has rolled out its ambitious “Tour La Vie” program. Starting from the day Donald Trump takes office, this cruise lets passengers spend up to four years visiting over 140 countries—all while avoiding the United States.

This isn’t your average getaway. With packages like the year-long “Escape from Reality” or the four-year “Skip Forward,” you can pick how long you want to sail the seas and leave the chaos behind.

Not Political, Just Practical

Mikael Petterson, Villa Vie’s CEO, insists there’s no political agenda here. “We just wanted to give people who feel uneasy an option to step away.”

What’s the Price Tag?

Luxury like this doesn’t come cheap. Pricing starts at $40,000 per year, with a single cabin for the full four years costing $256,000. Couples can opt for a shared cabin at $320,000. The good news? That price covers all the basics: food, drinks (yes, even alcohol during dinner), weekly housekeeping, laundry service, WiFi, and medical care.

The Itinerary

This isn’t just about lounging on a deck. The journey kicks off with a month in the Caribbean, followed by a four-month tour of South America. Highlights include passing through the Panama Canal (twice!), exploring Chilean fjords, cruising to Antarctica, catching Carnival in Rio, and even an eight-day adventure along the Amazon River.

And don’t worry—passengers can still vote in key U.S. elections. Mail-in ballots will be handled by the cruise company and delivered directly to the ship.

A Floating Paradise

The ship, Villa Vie Odyssey, has room for 600 passengers. It’s no stranger to long voyages, as it’s currently in year two of a 15-year world tour. The Odyssey is set to visit all seven continents, 13 world wonders, and over 100 tropical islands.

Though the ship hit a snag last year with unexpected repairs in Belfast, it finally left port in September, kicking off its global journey in style.

So, if you’re dreaming of leaving behind the noise and sailing into a stress-free sunset, this cruise might just be your ticket to freedom.
