Disneyland and Disney World have just rolled out a new Lightning Lane Premier Pass that promises to keep you out of those painfully long lines. Sounds dreamy, right? Well, it comes with a catch—the price is through the roof.
According to Delicious.com.au on Saturday (19/10/2024), this pass lets travelers bypass the line at every attraction that offers Lightning Lane access. The fine print? You can only skip the line once per ride, but you can use the pass anytime throughout the day.
As convenient as this pass sounds, it doesn’t come cheap. And, of course, there are a few conditions you need to meet before you can even think about grabbing one.
For instance, if you’re heading to Walt Disney World in Orlando, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass is only available to guests staying at the Deluxe Resorts or Deluxe Villas. Not only that, but you’ll have to purchase the pass for each park, per day, with prices varying depending on the park.
Take Disney’s Animal Kingdom, for example. The pass will cost you somewhere between USD 129 and USD 199, plus tax—double the price of regular admission.
If you’re thinking about heading to Disneyland in Los Angeles, the story’s not much different. The prices are still sky-high, but the good news is that anyone can buy a pass, whether or not you’re staying at the resort. That’s a little win, right?
Meanwhile, over at Walt Disney World in Florida, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass could set you back up to a whopping USD 400 per person.
Disney, naturally, defends the high price, insisting that “time is money.” If you’d rather avoid spending hours waiting in line for rides, then this ticket might just be worth the splurge.
