The Wildest Requests by Hotel Guests

Guests are always the top priority at hotels, and no matter how strange their requests might be, hotel staff will do their best to accommodate them and keep the guests happy.

As reported by CNN on Sunday (September 15), Hotels.com has once again revealed some of the most bizarre room service requests made by guests. With a network of partner hotels worldwide, Hotels.com is frequently surprised by the unusual demands.

One of the latest unusual requests was from guests who wanted Evian bottled water to bathe their children regularly. Hotel staff had to pour the Evian water into the children’s bathtub.

There was also a guest who requested a special allergen-free menu for their pets—something that is typically prepared only for human guests.

Other odd requests included burnt toast, fresh goat’s milk, and 2 kilograms of bananas. Hotel staff prepared these for various different guests.

One particularly unique request involved a guest asking for a high-five from a team member to ensure their room service order had been delivered.

Back in 2023, Hotels.com released a list of the strangest guest requests they had received.

Some of the odd requests reported by staff included boiled bottled water, large portions of bison meat, and pufferfish—despite the fact that pufferfish can be deadly if not prepared correctly.

One respondent even mentioned a guest who brought their own fish and asked the hotel to cook and serve it.

Whether it’s a way to indulge or a necessity after a long day of sightseeing, it brings a certain level of satisfaction.

Wow, what unusual requests!
