Alright, Singapore, what’s going on? Seems like some folks just can’t figure out where the bathroom is. Two guys were caught doing their business—outside—near the MRT Toa Payoh station. Yep, in public. And guess what? Someone took a picture.
What Went Down?
On the night of January 14, 2025, around 9 PM, two guys decided that the side of a tree was a good enough spot for a quick pee. The incident went down right near HDB Hub in Toa Payoh. Joseph Benjamin Bolinao, just a regular guy walking by, spotted it and couldn’t believe his eyes.
“I was chatting with my girlfriend on the phone and saw these guys doing what they were doing. So, I snapped a pic and sent it to her—just couldn’t believe it!” Joseph, who’s in his 50s, said.
The Photo Gets Around
Joseph wasn’t shy about sharing what he saw. He posted the photo to the Complaint Singapore Facebook page on January 15, and, surprise surprise, people were NOT having it. The comments flooded in, all of them calling out the guys for their not-so-classy move.
Where Did This Happen?
According to Google Maps, this went down not far from Blok 175 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, right by some bins and piles of trash. So yeah, not exactly the nicest spot. Still, that’s not the point—the point is, these guys couldn’t wait to find a bathroom.
What’s the Law Here?
Here’s the thing: peeing in public isn’t just gross—it’s illegal. The National Environment Agency (NEA) in Singapore says you can be hit with a fine up to SGD 1,000 if you’re caught doing this. So, yeah, public urination is a serious no-no.
If anyone sees this kind of stuff going down, they can report it through the OneService app. Simple as that.
Bottom Line
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened, and it probably won’t be the last. But hey, guys, if you gotta go, there’s a thing called a toilet—use it! Singapore’s not playing around when it comes to public cleanliness, so let’s keep it that way.
