“The drama” started all over the internet because everyone understands a flight can be delayed—that frustration touches everyone at one time or another.
But the passenger’s total meltdown was so outrageous it could not go unnoticed by anyone online. In fact, if you look closely, a lot of what happened to cause this situation from all those people who witnessed it tells the story itself.
But what did you expect from ‘the question everyone is talking about’? Who knows; it might have been an attempt to get dramatic or it could have been spontaneous. All we know is that the bystanders around her had that same “what am I doing here?” look that you get when you accidentally walk onto the wrong set of a movie.
The incident involving the aforementioned woman began when she began to yell at an airport staff member.
First, she yelled at the staff member for how he/she treated her.
Second, she yelled at the staff member, asking who he/she is.
Third, she yelled at the staff member because of the late flight.
During this rant, she mocked the staff member for being scared and shaking from the fear of her yelling at him/her. After having been yelled at for five minutes straight, who wouldn’t be scared?
Also in the background, there was a story.
The flight that she was scheduled to take was delayed. Annoying; however, this is not uncommon. But what really made her mad was when she found out that she would not be allowed to board the flight because it had been overbooked which ultimately was what caused her to completely ‘lose it’.
Moments earlier, she was conducting herself as though she was an investigator looking for evidence of her innocence on CCTV; she was lifting her arms up to the ceiling and looking for the CCTV cameras. She kept yelling that she needed someone “higher up” because she felt that the gate agent should be terminated from their employment.
The yelling continued for approximately 30 minutes until airport security arrived and escorted her away.
Taylor Returned to Check on the Ticket Agent Later
After the woman was removed from the terminal, the TikToker later returned to check in on the Southwest employee who had been yelled at by the woman throughout the entire incident. The employee was visibly upset and crying.
Taylor posted on her social media page that she “really felt bad” for this employee and received the same feedback from multiple sources on the internet.
People on the internet were not having any of the woman’s behaviour. Some online comments were:
“How can she be surprised by a delay?”
“The reason why you need to train your patience in an airport.”
“Making a scene by yelling at an employee who has no control over an overbooked flight only makes things worse for everyone involved.”
Essentially, this one woman was able to annoy all the people in the terminal along with millions of other people who watched the incident from home!
Amidst the chaos of crying and yelling about TikTok, the whole chaos reminded us how stressful airports are, and crying in public does not help clear the skies or free up seats.

A delayed plane + an overbooked seat equals a viral meltdown that no one asked for. The internet moved on, however, this video will be shared for many years by future travelers, “We are not having a day like that girl.”
